# How to View the Dashboard on your App
When you log into your MakeShift app, the Employee Dashboard is the first screen you'll see. This dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of your work week and centralizes all your essential information in one place.
**What You Can Find on the Dashboard:**
**Next Scheduled Shift**
At the top of the dashboard, you will see a dark blue module displaying your next scheduled shift. This section shows the location and position for this shift, so you can quickly see when and where you’re scheduled to work without needing to click any additional buttons.
**Notifications**
Below your next scheduled shift, you’ll find notifications indicated by bell icons. There are two types of notifications in MakeShift:
**Shift Notifications** Represented by a light blue module, these notifications inform you of changes to your schedule, Available Shifts, Shift Swaps, Shift Drops, and Time Off.
**Company Announcements** Found in a white module with a bell icon, these are one-way communications from your employer or supervisor. They are used to share company updates or departmental news.
**My Upcoming Shifts**
Under the 'My Upcoming Shifts' section, you’ll see your next three shifts displayed in a white module with a blue stripe on the left. If you have more than three upcoming shifts, you can view the rest by clicking the ‘See All My Shifts’ button below this section.
**Available Shifts**
Below 'My Upcoming Shifts,' you’ll find the Available Shifts summary. Here, you can view all potential shifts that you are eligible to pick up. To request an Available Shift, click on the shift you’re interested in and hit ‘Request Shift’.
**Exchange Shifts**
In the 'Exchange Shifts' section, you’ll see shifts that your colleagues are looking to exchange or drop, which you may be eligible to pick up. To offer to pick up or exchange these shifts, click on the shift and select ‘Offer to Exchange’ or ‘Offer to Pick Up’.

**Weekly Summary**
At the bottom of your dashboard, you’ll find another dark blue module displaying your weekly summary. This section highlights the number of shifts you have worked and the remaining shifts for the current week, along with the total hours worked and remaining. To pick up an available shift, click on the shift and select ‘Request Shift’.
