How to Configure Statutory Holidays Worked Rules


Once the calendar has been created, then you can begin to create your Statutory Holiday Worked rules. MakeShift will allow administrators to create specific rules and eligibility for Statutory Holidays when they work on the holiday.

To add a Statutory Holiday Worked rule, click on the Locations tab from the top navigation bar.

Click on the location you would like to configure a statutory holiday calendar for.

Click on the Statutory Holiday Worked tab.

Enter in the Rule Name and any Code that may apply to the new rule.

You may also apply your new rule to Position(s) and or Employment Types(s).

Next, choose the applicable Statutory Holiday Calendar that applies to your new rule.

Enter in the SAP Statutory Holiday Calendar ID if applicable.

If the employee earns a day in lieu for this rule, check the box that says Employee earns day in lieu. You may also be required to enter in the corresponding pay code.

It may also be important to establish the Pay Code Eligibility for the Statutory Holiday Worked Rules that may earn special compensation in addition to any shifts with a pay code earning.. By checking or unchecking the box, you may indicate which statutory holiday worked rules will earn compensation in addition to the pay code earning and which rules should not. 

Select the green Save button once you have inputted the relevant data for your new statutory holiday worked rule.
