[The Schedule](https://support.makeshift.ca/admins-managers?hsLang=en-ca#the-schedule) # Reorder Employees on the Schedule Employee names show up on the schedule in the order that they are added. Whenever you add a new employee, they will always be added to the bottom of the schedule list. You can sort employees alphabetically, by employee start date, or manually. This will determine the order that your employees will be listed on the schedule. ![Sort Employees By](https://support.makeshift.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/Sort%20Employees%20By.png?width=348&height=78&name=Sort%20Employees%20By.png)   Click **Update Department **to confirm. ![Update Department](https://support.makeshift.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/Update%20Department.png?width=135&height=36&name=Update%20Department.png) Your employees will automatically be reordered if you selected to sort your employees alphabetically or by employee start date. If you chose to manually sort, reorder your employees by clicking **Employees** on the left navigation bar. ![Department profile - employees](https://support.makeshift.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/New%20KB%20articles%20pictures/Department%20profile%20-%20employees.png?width=241&height=240&name=Department%20profile%20-%20employees.png)   Click anywhere on an employee's row and drag and drop them to a new place on the list.
