How to Clock In or Out for a Shift

If your company is currently using MakeShift to keep track of time and attendance, you may have the ability to clock in and out directly from your phone. This depends on whether the management at your company has decided to use this feature. If this feature is enabled, follow the directions below to clock in or out for a shift.

Clock In:

Click the Time Clock button at the bottom of the screen. This button will not be accessible if your company has not enabled this feature.

Time Clock Tab (1)-1

On the Time Clock screen, you will see your next upcoming shift at the top. The details will include the time of your shift, the department and position. If you do not have an upcoming shift within the next 12 hours, this area will be empty and you will be clocking in for a shift that hasn't been scheduled. This may happen if you have been called in to work for a shift that wasn't already scheduled.

On the map, you will see a blue pin which shows the location of your workplace and a blue dot surrounded by a shaded circle which represents your own location. Your company has set a geofence so that you are only able to clock in or out when you are within this zone. If you are outside of this geofence area, you will not be able to clock in or out for your shift.

Clock In

Click the Clock In button when you have arrived at work and are ready to clock in for your shift.
