[Time & Attendance](https://support.makeshift.ca/admins-managers?hsLang=en-ca#time-attendance) # Breaks Click the **Locations** tab in the top black navigation bar. ![Location Tab](https://support.makeshift.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/New%20KB%20articles%20pictures/Location%20Tab.png?width=670&height=37&name=Location%20Tab.png) Click on the location you would like to configure payroll settings for. ![Five Locations](https://support.makeshift.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/Images/knowledge%20base%20images/Five%20Locations.png?width=584&height=176&name=Five%20Locations.png) Select the **Breaks** tab. ![breaks](https://support.makeshift.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/Images/knowledge%20base%20images/breaks.png?width=626&height=41&name=breaks.png) From here, you can select between **Unpaid Breaks **and **Paid Breaks.** Unpaid breaks will deduct hours from your employee's timesheets depending on whether you choose auto-deduct or require employee's to clock in and out. Paid breaks will not deduct hours from your employee's timesheets.
