Allow Employees to Request Available Shift with Shift/Time Off Conflicts
For some companies it may be important to allow employees the ability to request an available shift when they have time off and or a scheduled shift on their schedule. Any company administrator can update these settings using the steps below. As a special note, any company that is utilizing our “advanced call outs” feature will not be able to utilize these features.
Begin by clicking on your name in the top right hand corner.
A dropdown list of options will appear. Select Settings.
You will now see several tabs to choose from, General, Schedule, Time and Attendance if time and attendance client), Employment Types and Positions.
Click on the Schedule tab.
Here you will see several settings you can adjust for scheduling purposes.
If you wish to Allow employees to request an available shift when they have a conflicting time off, then you may check the box. Please note that a manager must remove all time off conflicts to approve any available shift requests. Once the time off conflict has been removed, you will be able to assign the available shift to the employee.
If you wish to Allow employees to request an available shift when they have a conflicting shift, then you may check the box. Please note that a manager must remove all scheduled shift conflicts in order to assign the available shift to the employee.
Once you have made the adjustments to your settings, select the Update Settings button to save your new settings.
